Two new features before Holy Week

Posted by Paul on April 11, 2009

Hi everybody,

An Orthodox Kitchen has been open to the public for nearly two weeks now, and we've been visited about 1,000 times by about 500 different visitors. A lot of those visitors have provided much-appreciated positive feedback, but also lots of feature requests.

So, before I close up the office and my e-mail inbox for Holy Week, we managed to add a couple of these things:

  1. The ability to provide contact information. You can now optionally show your e-mail address, a brief bio, the URL to your blog, or even your screen name on Twitter. This is all available in the "Edit Profile" section for registered users.
  2. Filtering recipes by multiple categories. The "Browse" menu on the right side of the screen has been replaced with a filtering system that lets you choose any combination of courses and fasting rules as criteria for what recipes are displayed.

I wish everyone a blessed Holy Week and joyous Pascha!
