*** This recipe is online at http://orthodoxkitchen.com/recipes/baked-fresh-tuna/ *** ====================== Baked fresh Tuna ====================== Serves 4-6 Ingredients ----------- 1 3/4 lbs. fresh tuna 2 tbsp. olive oil 1 large sweet onion (thinly sliced) 4 med. tomatoes (peeled seeded and chopped; or 2c.canned diced tomatoes) 1/2 cup dry vermouth 1 tsp. dry basil, crumbled Instructions ------------ preheat oven at 425. Rub 1 Tbs. olive oil on tuna steaks and lightly salt and pepper. Saute onion in 1 Tbs. of olive oil until soft. Add tomatoes and vermouth and cook briefly.Place tuna in shallow baking dish, pour mixture over top. Bake for 12-15 min. Sprinkle with basil.
