- 1 cup warm milk
- 1 egg (separated)
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1 cup flour
- 2 tsp. yeast
- 1 stick butter
Add salt, sugar and yeast to warm milk and set aside until bubbly.
Add egg yolk and flour and mix well. Let mixture rise.
Note: when increasing the size of the batch - for every 4 cups of flour
add 2 tsp of yeast to the recipe.
Melt butter and set aside for later.
Beat egg white, does not neeed to be stiff, and mix into the risen batter.
Heat frying pan over med. heat, brush with butter. Pour thin layer of batter into pan. Cook until bubbly and flip over.
Place in oven proof pan, brush top with butter. As you make them, stack them in the pan and keep warm in the oven(200).

Sour cream
hard boiled eggs, chopped
scallions herring
sardines
caviar
powdered sugar
