*** This recipe is online at http://orthodoxkitchen.com/recipes/sour-cream-crumb-cake/ *** =========================== Sour Cream Crumb Cake =========================== Makes 2 Coffee Cakes Ingredients ----------- 3 cups flour 2 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. salt 1 1/2 cups sugar 1/2 tsp. baking soda 2/3 cup butter 3 large eggs 2 tsp. vanilla 1 1/2 cups sour cream Instructions ------------ Sift the dry ingredients. Cut in butter until it is like coarse meal or small peas. Reserve 1 1/2 cups of this mixture. Combine eggs, vanilla and sour cream and stir into the remainder of the dry blend. Pour into 2 well buttered 10 inch pie pans. Brush the top of the dough with butter and sprinkle with reserved crumbs. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 - 30 minutes.
